Garage and Frat bands, including other recording artists were plentiful in Memphis when we were kids. Remember "Battle of the Bands?" Listed below are just some of the many groups and individuals who were singing and playing back in the 60's locally. Some bands went on to make #1 hit records. Tony Rossini Overton guaduate class of 1965 Recorded several 45 singles at Sun Recording Studios in the 60's. Tony was discovered by Scotty Moore who originally played guitar for Elvis at the beginning of his career. Tony is also listed on Sun Records Discography of all time recording artists.
